  1. What a wonderfully honest conversation which has great information for both the disabled person and potential employers. It shows that responsibility for honesty, flexibility and creating opportunities lies with both the employee and the employer. It is a shame that not all employers try to be more flexible or accommodating.

    An interesting discussion on the term disabled person/people versus people/person living with a disability. If you are dealing with a single person it may be fine to ask which term they prefer while having a conversation but if you are writing a blog or talking to an audience, what is the proper term to use. Will people be offended or just understand that the terminology is personal? It would be interesting to discuss this with a group of people.
